The bit with Toga's parents in this chapter reminds me of how some family members won't accept someone because of the gender or sexuality they identify with and even go as far as to force them to "be normal".
you should all also know that not only does Shigaraki’s birthday (4/4) and Spinner birthday (8/8) complement each other in numbers and in luck (4/4 is unlucky, 8/8 is lucky), but it turns out their birthdays will always be on the same day of the week (If 4/4 is a Wednesday, 8/8 is also a Wednesday; if 4/4 is a Sunday, 8/8 is also a Sunday, etc)
favorite things to remember: Shigaraki accepted Spinner into the League despite Spinner having zero villain qualifications and a weak quirk, and showing up in Stain cosplay
then during the forest raid, despite having been defeated, literally being held down by Heroes, Spinner and Magne were saved by Kurogiri who personally showed up to their location, which was nowhere near the evacuation point. this, even though Muscular, Mustard, Moonfish - unguarded by anyone - were left for the dead because they were defeated and could not make it to the evacuation point.
(was this kurogiri’s decision, or an order from Shigaraki’s? given that Kurogiri was kinda skeptical of the group and ready to write off everyone as disposable pawns, I think it might have actually been Shigaraki’s order to go retrieve Spinner and Magne)
i like to think that all this points to Shigaraki, when he first laid eyes on Spinner, immediately developing a soft spot for the guy
